The story of Christina Iversen Studio
Christina Iversen Studio was founded in 2020 by Christina Iversen and is a creative universe where the beauty of nature is combined with timeless design. Christina Iversen Studio creates design with a deep love for the sea, based on the principle of “ocean therapy”, an anchoring in the calm pace found by the water.
Christina Iversen Studio is a quiet proposal for a more present approach to design and form. An aesthetic gesture that is felt as much as it is seen, and which takes its starting point in the Scandinavian lifestyle - the sea as therapy and sustainable well-being, now and for a long time.
In collaboration with ceramic designer and artist Dorte Kristoffersen, the products are created with a focus on Danish design and craftsmanship. All designs are functional and created to be used.
Christina Iversen Studio's ceramic designs are created in porcelain by skilled hands, respectively on Bornholm and in Kolding. Each design is unique, and there may therefore be variation in the distinctiveness of the products.
Sea therapy
For me, the sea is a sanctuary. When I step into the sand and feel the cold water envelop my body, I find a calm that anchors me. The sea helps me to land in my body, regulate my nervous system and create balance in my mind. That is what I call ocean therapy - a simple but powerful way to find my way back to myself. The same feeling is repeated in my products. The ceramics are shaped so that they fall naturally in the hand. They should provide peace when you hold them and reflect the silence and balance that Christina Iversen Studio is built on. The jewelry is created in the same spirit. They are calm, simple and natural to wear. Designed as small anchors in everyday life - a form of sustainable well-being that you can take with you, no matter where you are.
